This is the first book in the series of his trading books that explains his ST Trading method. The method is explained well, there are plenty of pictures and graphs to illustrate the concepts. This is NOT light reading, so you will need to take some time to unpack the ideas, and test the method. I did- and it works very well. I would encourage traders to get this book first, before they buy the other two. This book lays the foundation for the other two books.
I bought this book soon after it was published. I gave it a quick read and put it on my bookshelf with about 100 other trading books. It seemed too complicated for me. I scalp the Eur/Usd and simple is the name of the game in scalping. Then Vladimir's next book came out. Rinse and repeat. Then the third. Rinse and repeat. Now the latest one on 5-minute charts -- that's something a scalper can work with. Don't get me wrong; I saw value in the first book but it didn't fit my scalping style. The truth is that any method of trading will take a substantial investment of time both studying and learning its implementation. Therefore, one has to be selective in their time investment. I spent the last week re-reading all of his books. Today, I was able to implement his framework in a successful scalping trade. That success helps me commit more time to learn the entire strategy. I recommend all of his books, they are reasonably priced, Vladimir quickly answers my questions via email and shares his trading results. Where can you get that for $15.00!

I've read nearly 200 trading books in 15 years. I can tell when someone is a real trader, and I can say this author is real. But that's actually not so important. What really matters is three things. 1) Does the book divulge unique and useful information? Yes. 2) Are clear trading rules given, including position sizing, when to stay out, and honesty about losing trades? Yes. 3) Is the writing clear and concise? On this point, I can say the writing is concise, but this is not the most poetic book you will ever read in English. However, all the information is there, and there are no misleading aspects. I found that I had to study his charts very carefully. He annotates them extensively, and the pictures speak 1000 words. The book is short because that's all it takes to cover the whole system. Once you get the hang of it, it's not that complex, which is a sign of all good trading systems. Also, the author asks for questions and feedback, so I wrote to him twice and he immediately responded with kind answers to help me. In summary, I highly recommend this book for forex traders.
Excellent system! I have been demo trading this and have seen some amazing results and in a couple of weeks, I'll go live. If you want to learn the ST Pattern system in depth, with all the nuances, be sure to get the other two books ("Forex Strategy: ST Patterns Trading Manual" and the "Trading Strategy: Fractal Corridors on the Futures, CFD and Forex Markets") as well.
After a few years of applying Price Action methods to day trading index futures, my results have been less than satisfactory. Fortunately, there is a lot of new and useful information contained in this little book. Compared to the many Price Action trading books I own, this book is concise yet very thorough...that's impressive. Vladimir has boiled down the essentials into graphics and minimal text, so it takes some time and study to digest all of his very useful advice (at least for me). Bottom line is there's a lot of bang for the buck in this little book. I look forward to applying his Fractal-ST approach in the E-mini market.
I purchased the digital version of the first book and friend lend me the other 3 books, so I'm only qualified as a verified buyer of the first book, but this review is for the entire series of 4 books.After reading the books, I contacted the author for follow-up questions, he answered my questions very fast and invited me to write a review for the book. I would say the author's work is a masterpiece and the price for it is a steal. For anyone who wants to dive into the system I recommend reading all of them, because each book focuses on certain part of the methodology, and it's consistent through the series.The system is an elegant breakout system based on support and resistant levels, as the name of the first book, trading code is open, which means the logic is transparent and easy to implement. The first book describes many different patterns, however there are only four basic patterns and all else are just their combinations.I built it from scratch by following the instructions within the book, during the exploration, I can imagine how the author had formed his philosophy one step after another, adding elements one by one based on a same core idea, and also how to modify it to adapt the market volatility, and finally polish the system into a perfect balanced weapon without redundancy. First time reading the book will bring up many questions, which is totally normal, after revisiting it more and more times, you will be able to internalize the system in mind, and start to enjoy watching this scalpel decomposing the market piece by piece like a hot knife through butter. I've check some other reviews stating that this system has its limitation, ideas are old, and etc, my two cents is that market has infinite dimensions for traders to analyze, however at this level, with only pure price actions, it has achieved a great success.Attached are some patterns I code and paint on 5 mins ES chart using this system, to demonstrate that it is easy to implement and has a lot of potential to improve. The patterns are from May 2018 to Feb 2019.Cheers
